# Services

Every engagement is built around what the business actually needs. Most combine several of the areas below.

Select any service to read more.

Quality of Earnings Readiness

Most privately held companies do not keep books the way a buyer reads them. Many are on a cash or tax basis by design, and some produce no meaningful monthly reporting at all. That is a reasonable way to run a business, and it is a serious problem the moment a buyer, a lender, or a diligence team starts asking questions.

Quality of Earnings Readiness closes that gap before the deal does. I rebuild the financial record into monthly, GAAP-basis statements a diligence team can actually test, using AI-assisted tooling to do in weeks what would otherwise take months of manual rework.

- Convert cash-basis or tax-basis books into monthly accrual, GAAP-basis financials
- Build a monthly financial record where none existed, including cutoff, accruals, and deferrals
- Normalize revenue recognition, inventory, and cost of sales
- Identify and document add-backs and non-recurring items before a buyer finds them
- Reconcile the resulting statements to bank and tax records so the numbers hold up
- Package supporting schedules for the diligence request list

The result is a seller who arrives at diligence with a defensible set of monthly GAAP financials, rather than discovering mid-process that the numbers cannot support the valuation. The same work is equally useful on the buy side, where it turns an opaque target into something you can underwrite.

Fractional CFO leadership

Ongoing senior financial leadership as part of your management team: strategy, financial oversight, and a steady hand on the numbers that matter. The role scales with the business, from a few days a month to a standing seat at the leadership table.

Cash flow and liquidity

A disciplined 13-week rolling cash flow, updated weekly, so you see tight weeks coming while there is still time to act. Paired with working capital discipline across receivables, payables, and inventory.

Lender relations and reporting

Borrowing base and covenant compliance reporting, lender communication, and securing or expanding bank lines of credit. Covenant trouble is almost always visible well before the certificate is due, and the work is to see it early and manage the conversation rather than react to it.

FP&A, budgeting, and KPI reporting

Budgets and forecasts leadership believes in, and management reporting that ties the P&L to the bank account. The test is whether the management team trusts the numbers enough to make decisions on them.

Transactions and exit readiness

Buy-side and sell-side due diligence support, GAAP reporting cleanup, and preparing a business to hold up under a buyer's scrutiny. Strong outcomes are built long before the market sees the opportunity.

Board governance

Clear decision rights, better information flow, and financial oversight that supports the founder instead of slowing the company down. Governance done well protects the culture rather than flattening it.

For private equity and family offices

Experienced, operating-level finance support across portfolio companies, from post-close stabilization through exit. Useful where a portfolio company needs more than its controller can carry and less than a permanent CFO hire.

## How engagements work

Engagements are structured as an ongoing monthly retainer or a defined project. Both start with a short diagnostic to agree on priorities.

## Let's talk about your next step

A 30-minute conversation is usually enough to know whether a fractional CFO is the right fit.
